I know January is supposed to be the cold month - but single digit temps are not supposed to be part of Georgia weather (I am certain I read that in the fine print somewhere!) Be safe out there. Stay warm. If you were traveling, we had an awesome Christmas celebration here in the mountains! The new year rhythm of church life starts back up this week. Our CEC Preschool is back in session on Wednesday and the OASIS Winter session begins this Thursday. Our prayer team will be meeting at 5:30 pm Thursday evening in the conference room in our first meeting of the new year (just in case joining with us was one of your new years resolutions!) Our Wednesday night activities - including the first dinner of the spring cycle begins next week, January 10. It may not be warming up outside this week but it certainly is warming up inside your church!
God’s Warmth, pastor mark (Go Dawgs! - and LSU will rise next year!)
Remaining Christmas cards are now on the MAC desk - please check there.

Living Lord’s Supper Worship Drama;
There will be an orientation meeting for all those who have volunteered to help with the Living Last Supper worship drama. We will meet in the fellowship hall on Saturday, January 13th at 10:30 am until noon. Please come and be a part of this important meeting. You’ll get to meet the apostles, and we’ve even found Jesus! We’ll be handing out briefing packets that will give you all the information you will need to move closer to Christ. Any questions, see Chuck or Pam Morgan firstname.lastname@example.org
Orphanage Emmanuel in Honduras:
We have 5 people from our church going to the Honduras Orphanage January 18-25 (Joe & Kim Tatman, Lamar & Jackie Franklin, Camden Goddard.) Please pray for them while they are away.
Are you interested in sponsoring an Orphanage Emmauel child? The Sponsorship Program is the Orphanage’s primary source of funds for caring for all of the children. It also allows sponsors to establish a personal relationship with an individual child. Sponsors may select a child or they will assign one. The children at Emmanuel come from difficult circumstances. Some are orphans, some abandoned, abused or come from extreme poverty. Once at Emmanuel, they joyfully assume responsibility for their care - including nutritional food, comfortable and clean clothing and living quarters, as well as educational, medical, and general developmental needs. Most importantly, they strive to give the children strong spiritual guidance.
In the last month, Emmanuel has received approximately 30 new children, many of whom are unsponsored. If you are interested in becoming part of a child’s life at Orphanage Emmanuel, please feel free to contact our sponsorship coordinator, Sarah Schuenemeyer, at email@example.com for more information!
