We are now firmly within the purple season of Lent - prepare to stare at purple! It is a time of reflection, renewal, and repentance in our life resurrecting faith. We handed out 25 “Easter in a basket” baskets Sunday to the little ones so that you can enter into an intentional Lenten time at home with your children. We anticipate handing out more in the week to come. Families, grow your small children into the wonder of our faith. There is a legacy of love to be shared from this place of grace. Don’t miss out! Thank you Table of Grace for feeding the hungry a quality hot lunch today! How many OASIS mailers got prepared today by the folding team - over 1000! WOW! And VBS volunteers - please note the date change - our VBS will be June 24-28. The March Newsletter will be shortly with all our Easter cycle plans - read it very carefully!

Firewood Ministry Needs Willing Hands.
Our Firewood Ministry partnership with Antioch Baptist Church has distributed a very large amount of wood to needy individuals and families this winter, and we anticipate a continued heavy demand. However, the number of folks from both churches who participate in this effort has gone down over the past several months. We really need additional help in loading, unloading, and splitting cut wood. We could even use additional chainsaw help. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, contact either David Kuykendall firstname.lastname@example.org or Kyle Freed email@example.com
Member Carol Rogers has just published a book of writings titled Heavenly Sounds which will be available at both desks. The price is $16 to be donated to SAFE house.
We have infants and toddlers at all three services - WHICH MEANS - we need NURSERY HELP at all three worship services! Our Nursery Director (Donna Fredericks) coordinates schedules if you would like to volunteer for one worship our in our team rotation. Please contact Shannon Burgess at 770 365 8967 or Donna Fredericks at 239 821 0178.
VBS DATES CHANGE:
Correct dates are June 24-28 in the evening
Please help us fill our 2018 confirmation class. The class will be on Wednesday nights (6 pm to 7 pm) beginning April 11 for six consecutive Wednesdays. The class will be led by me and include some of my helpers from time to time. You do not need to be raised in our church to go through this class. It is open to the community we serve. It is designed for current fifth graders. However, you are invited if you are a few years older but never had the chance to complete confirmation. This is the class in our tradition that intentionally prepares youth in their discernment to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Nothing is more important than this holy - life giving - invitation!
