(No Wednesday Night Dinner due to Holy Week - Youth are invited to be here at 6pm for the Gathering to make final preparations for Sunrise)
What a joy! We worshipped God last Sunday through Word, prayer, song, and AWESOME Easter Cantata. I cannot thank our extended music ministry enough for last Sunday. We have been given the privilege and responsibility of telling “The Easter Story” and we did it well across all three services last Sunday (and honorable mention to all the men who helped prepare the “appreciation brunch” in the middle hour for the 80 people associated with the Cantata - well done guys!)
In our retelling of the STORY, Jesus is now here. He came to town on Palm Sunday. Come be with him at our drama teams rendition of the “Living Last Supper” on Thursday at 6:30 pm. This is a first for us and very special. A lot of work and creative energy has gone into our preparations. Jesus and the Disciples will come to life from the Leonardo Da Vinci painting of the Last Supper. Rose Oberlin (and her harp), a gifted YHC Student vocalist - Caleb Nelson and Keith DeFoor, Eric Miller (and his guitar), Jennifer de la Montagne (and her keyboards), and Jeff Bauman and Keith DeFoor will all be bringing the musical uniqueness to this staged drama event. Come and try to guess who the Disciples and Jesus are without looking at the bulletin first! Nursery is provided for this service.
On Friday, you are invited to come to the Sanctuary for a very family friendly Good Friday service at 6:30 pm. No nursery is available for this service - please, all are welcome to be in worship for this very simple and intimate service that we pray is very powerful and helpful in our shared experience of the Easter Story. If you have never come to a Good Friday service, this will be the one.
Remember, all four worship services Easter Morning - Youth & Jennifer led sunrise service on the hill at 7:30 am (the weather looks great so come support our Youth!) and then 8:30, 9:45, and 11 am. Bring a friend to the Easter Story.

Please help us fill our 2018 confirmation class. The class will be on Wednesday nights (6 pm to 7 pm) beginning April 11 for six consecutive Wednesdays. The class will be led by me and include some of my helpers from time to time. You do not need to be raised in our church to go through this class. It is open to the community we serve. It is designed for current fifth graders. However, you are invited if you are a few years older but never had the chance to complete confirmation. This is the class in our tradition that intentionally prepares youth in their discernment to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Nothing is more important than this holy - life giving - invitation!
