Grace is my favorite word. Especially after being away from church for 2 weeks. It’s like trying to jump onto a train moving 100 mph. Ok, here comes my leap to catch up with all of you despite triple digits of “barely read” emails - did I say that GRACE was my favorite word?
Plans for VBS are all on track. The creative decorations are in the process of being created - thanks teams! The children pre-registrations are at 74 and rising. Add to that children who come Sunday Night unregistered and we have a grand party in front of us! VBS starts Sunday night and goes through Thursday night. Thank you army of volunteers! And thank you faith family for praying us through the week to come. We will need your prayers!
I also want to re-enforce the UMM activities we lifted up during Sunday’s Father’s Day mission moment. Come check out the Men’s weekly Bible Study when they start back up after summer break on Tuesday mornings, men’s breakfast groups (usually meet every other week at a restaurant of your choosing), campus care team, aluminum can recycling, partnerships with the Youth ministry (pumpkin patch active right now), partnerships with Scouting (Eagle Projects, etc…), partnerships with Children’s ministry (Playground care), partnerships with Memorial Garden care, events (like VBS, July 4rth Outreach, Fall Festival, etc…) and our Spiritual Gathering of Men event roughly every 4 months where we all come together (the only time we all come together) to worship God in a “Men’s themed” weekend experience for one hour. Have you looked at Men’s ministry at FUMC recently? There is a place for you. Come help men disciple men.
WELCOME OUR NEWEST MEMBERS:

The pictorial directory is progressing nicely. Please continue to send in your family’s picture to be included. Several of you have written that you wanted to submit a new picture but have not done so. The pictures can be YOUR pick of setting and style. And if you need one taken, just pop by the office and Evelyn can take one. This directory is for anyone and everyone who calls FUMC their church home. Just email your picture to the church office at email@example.com. Picture submissions are open until the end of June. Today is June 19.
We will be ordering THE WELL t-shirts again soon for those who wish to purchase. They are $16 for long or short sleeves. Please order via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and include sizes. In your email, be sure to include complete information including sleeve length, size, number of shirts, your name and phone number. Checks should be made out to FUMC and left in the church office. Your shirt will be ordered once we have 13 shirts ordered and paid for. You will be notified via email once shirts are ready for pick up in church office. Thanks!
First YOUTH will meet at 6 pm TONIGHT at our pumpkin patch, in the field just beyond the Annex. Come dressed for the heat, bring a water bottle, and prepare to get dirty as together we plant the field with pumpkins and some gourds. Pick-up will be at 7 pm, after we consume large amounts of ice pops!
Also, if you are needing some help around your house or yard, why not RENT-A-YOUTH?! The youth are fundraising for missions, and are hoping to work for ministry donations. Contact our Youth Director, Jennifer de la Montagne, at email@example.com with your needs, and we’ll set a date to come and work!
