Faith Family: What an amazing July 4th event on our church campus. We obviously grew in the number of people this event touches once again this year (and the perfect weather day helped!) Thank you Lynn Varian for coordinating this year’s event. Your plan was wonderful! There were so many involved in the details of this thing. Thank you Teri McGinnis for all the marketing work – we saw a lot of new people this year! Thank you Boy Scouts for the BBQ dinners (special kudos for Courtney and her band of intrepid helpers), thank you Eric Miller and OVERFLOW+ for the awesome concert, thank you Girl Scouts for the flag retirement ceremony and ice cream, thank you UMM for getting everyone on campus safely, thank you Son’s of the American Revolution for your demonstrations and presentation, thank you grasscutters and weed whackers for preparing our campus to receive so many families (did you see all those children on the playground!), thank you Gene and Artie for keeping us all hydrated, thank you Jennifer for leading the Youth into this event in so many ways (the community volleyball was awesome!) Thank you Roy for golf cart duty and helping us watch over everything. Thank you to our third party vendors who came to add a little extra special touch. Thank you Stan for being the glue that held everything together. Well done everyone!

God’s joy, Pastor Mark

YAH Back to School
“Bunco Fellowship”
Friday, August 10th
6:00pm In the Fellowship Hall –
Everyone should bring an appetizer or a dessert. $2.00 per person donation. Bunco has been played in America at least since the 1800’s. It’s a game centered around three dice and usually three sets of four players, averaging a standard group of 12. It is a game of pure luck; no real skill is required other than rolling the dice. However, the game is played in upbeat and social settings involving a lot of eating and fellowship, so there is always plenty to do! Join us!

9:45 Worship Service sound board: Gary Groves will train you. We need two new people to keep this a team of four so that everyone does one week out of four. We had no one in the sound booth this last Sunday. That required all of us who are leading worship to mute and un-mute our mics from the stage. It’s distracting and cumbersome. Gary is the sound Engineer - you don’t need to be - what we need is people willing to do the simple tasks in the sound booth during worship as coached by Gary. Help us worship with excellence!

9:45 Worship Service light board: Stacy Clements will train you. We need two more people to keep this a team of four so that everyone does one week out of four. This is not a complicated role - but it is vital to enhance our Praise Worship experience in a reduced light setting. Help us worship with excellence!

Fenced in Playground of the Hill: We need a handful of people who will oversee this vital area of our church. Our Preschoolers and our Children’s ministry use this area. Unattended, the weeds and poison Ivy take over quickly. Pastor mark took care of it last year. He cannot do it again this year. Basically, we need someone to spray and oversee this area to make certain there is nothing unsafe up there for any of our children.

Memorial Garden Area (Adjacent to the Sanctuary): We have a handful of people who doing the extra special care of this manicured sacred space on our campus. If you like caring for a very special small space that includes, push mower, weed eating, and blowing, join this group. This small area requires an extra amount of TLC. We will work out a schedule.

9:45 Service MAC Stage Design: We are looking for folks who are willing to occasionally get up on a ladder. The stage is a very large space. The sky is limitless in the possibilities. We need people willing to jump into preparing the stage for each season in the life of the church (not every Sunday.) Help us worship with excellence.

Morning Glory Circle will meet tomorrow Wednesday, 11th at their regular time.
