Please help us get the word out. Tell your friends! Tell your neighbors! Tell the strangers you meet this week! Our music ministry will be presenting our Christmas Cantata at the 8:30 am service and the 11 am service. Our band OVERFLOW will be leading us in a Christmas Celebration at THE WELL at 9:45 am. To help you get into the Christmas Spirit, Jennifer and the Youth will be leading the “Hanging of the Greens” worship service in our Sanctuary this Wednesday at 6 pm. Come support “your” Youth ministry as they lead us in worship.Come casual. Come joyful - leave blessed. There is no other program (Adult, Youth, or Children) this Wednesday so that everyone can come to this service. And come early, we had a large turnout last year!

Let the Light Shine: (2018 Stewardship Journey Results)
The light is truly shining bright at FUMC of Union County. The Finance Team is pleased to share with you great news ~ our church family set new records this year in our shared “Increase the Light” Stewardship Journey.

This year’s results are:
- 206 households respond with estimate of giving cards – compared to 168 last year
- 77 households indicated they are giving the full tithe of 10%– 51 households last year
- 89 households who indicated they increased their giving –52 households last year
- 10 families who said they reached the full tithe for the first time –7 families last year
- 26 families filled out their first ever card –15 families last year
- $814,344 total dollars represented on the cards – $660,000 last year

That last number always comes in lower than what we actually receive because there are people who give faithfully but who do not fill out a card. We are prayerful that through your continued commitment to giving we will come in on our plan for 2018 of $1,100,000. And, as always, your Finance team will be monitoring our giving closely across the beginning of 2019. We are hopeful that these results will allow us to walk into our vision of increased staffing and increased ministry for 2019. We are very optimistic that you will “increase the Light” at FUMC of Union County in 2019. On behalf of your Finance Team, we thank you for your continued support, generous hearts, hard work, faithful giving and your unending prayers. Praise be to God!
