12-03-2019 FUMC Tuesday Tickle Let’s eat (again) ! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. On Wednesday, we will enjoy a holiday meal together as a church family. We start at 5 pm, but show up when you can. We will continue to fellowship after the meal and the children and youth will have their activities as well. This is a great opportunity to bring someone new. I hope to see you and them then! Don Rod Johnson passed away this past Sunday, December 1st. His “Celebration of Life” will be held in the Sanctuary on Saturday the 7th at 3 pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 2 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested the donations be made to Pruitt Hospice, Pruitt Cares Foundation for Camp Cocoon Children’s Bereavement Camp. Please keep Kathy, her sons and their families in your prayers. The Hospitality Committee would like to extend our thanks to everyone who helped with the Hanging of the Greens Reception by either bringing snacks or assisting in the set up and clean up! We are blessed to have so many generous members and giving hearts we can rely on. Christmas at the Dillard House! - Sunday, December 15th - Cost is $30 per person and includes transportation and supper. We will leave the church at 2:00pm (so grab a quick lunch after church). We’ll arrive in Dillard and take a little time to browse the specialty shops of the “Boardwalk”. Then head to the famous Dillard House restaurant to share in a meal together. We return at approx. 8:30pm. Reserve a spot by bringing the full amount to the main church office today! Join us for this Christmas Fellowship Dinner! Our Christmas “Angel Tree” is up in the MAC lobby. Please take an Angel off the tree and purchase the gift on the Angel. You can leave the gift (unwrapped) back under the tree. Gifts will be donated to the Union Count Sheriff’s Department for distribution to needy children in Union County. Please have gifts back by December 10th. This mission project is sponsored by our Ladies Bible Study. “Night to Shine” Registration Now Open! Volunteers, Guests and Sponsors… Check our church website. Cost is $3.00 per class (free to 75 and over). “Fast-Effective-Fitness”. “FEF” meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the lower level of the MAC. Led by Rev. Mike Welch. Cost is $4.00 per class. “Strength-Stretch-Balance”: SSB is a 1 hour class meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:15am in room M-32. Class is led by Lisa Toups. Cost is $5.00 per class. “PIYO”: 45 minute “Yoga and Pilates combined”. Meets on Monday’s at 10:00am in room M-0 (first floor of the MAC) Cost is $5.00 per class. Christ Centered Yoga: This 1 hour class is led by Pat Tomzyck. Cost is $5.00 per class. Bring your own yoga mat. Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. There is free play in the MAC on Mondays & Tuesdays from 1:00pm - 4:30pm …everyone is welcome.
