INFO on the State of the UMC Church
A number of plans have been submitted to the 2020 General Conference that allow for those who wish to separate from the UMC to be able to do so in a variety of ways; however, one plan that made national news several weeks ago is gaining traction. That plan is called The Protocol of Reconciliation and Grace Through Separation. Everyone is invited to attend the townhall meeting that Bishop Sue will conduct in the Gainesville District on April 26th at 3:00 p.m. at Gainesville First United Methodist Church. She will discuss this plan at that time.
The Prayer Quilt Ministry is accepting requests for prayer quilts. Contact Paula Myers 706 745 5760 for further information or pick up a flyer off of the narthex desk. Completed quilts are placed in the Bray Chapel to receive your prayers and knots. Please stop by throughout the week.
Church Cookbooks still available. We still have a very limited number of cookbooks. Call Stan at the church office before they are gone.
