Good Morning Church,
I hope this finds you well.
First, a few thank yous.
Thank you to all who worshiped with us on Sunday morning, or since. It was certainly new for all of us. Though we cannot gather physically, the Holy Spirit continues to bind us together as the Body of Christ.
Thank you to all who are reaching out to others during this time through calls and emails. This continues to bind the Body together as well.
Thank you to all who continue to support the church financially. If you haven’t already, you can sign up for e-giving on our website, set up a transfer with your bank, or mail checks to the church, Thank you for your continued faithfulness.
Today on our Facebook page, we will be posting a scripture reflection and a prayer. I hope to post a few times during the week. The scripture today will be Luke 15, one of my favorites.
As for the near future, we will be worshiping online this Sunday, March 29. Plans for after that date will be shared as they are made.
For now, may grace and peace be yours in abundance. (1 Peter 1.2b)
See you online,
Our worship service is being broadcast on our own channel on Youtube. You may find it on our website ( and click on the link.

OASIS Spring
Session Cancelled!
OASIS Students, Instructors, and Volunteers…. due to the increasing number of Virus cases in our state it has been decided to cancel the OASIS Spring Session. This is in line with recent government decisions to close schools and cancel other public gatherings. The safety and well-being of you, our students, instructors & volunteers is very important to us. Therefore it has been decided to take the Spring Session off and look ahead to resuming the OASIS program in the Fall. Registration for the Fall Session will begin around the end of July, with the starting date scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd. For those who have registered for the Spring already, be on the lookout for a call or email pertaining to your refund from your instructor or our registrar, Alan Zimmerman. Thank you for your understanding and please be safe!

INFO on the State of the UMC Church!
A number of plans have been submitted to the 2020 General Conference that allow for those who wish to separate from the UMC to be able to do so in a variety of ways; however, one plan that made national news several weeks ago is gaining traction. That plan is called The Protocol of Reconciliation and Grace Through Separation. Everyone is invited to attend the townhall meeting that Bishop Sue will conduct in the Gainesville District on April 26th at 3:00 p.m. at Gainesville First United Methodist Church. She will discuss this plan at that time.
