Good evening church and welcome to this belated episode of Words for
I want to take just a moment and remind you of our plans for returning to in-person worship. Our plan remains to return on Sunday, June 28, with proper
social distancing in place, including masks, for the foreseeable future.
If you feel it would be better to wait a while longer due to health concerns or if
you are uncomfortable with the social distancing guidelines, know that we plan
to continue online worship even after the church returns to the
building. We plan to live stream our worship services on Sunday mornings
and also to have them available online after that.
Speaking of worship, join us online this Sunday on YouTube any time after
8:30 am. It is Pentecost Sunday and we will celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit
at work in our lives and world. You’ll also catch a glimpse or two of First
Methodist’s favorite Family Band.
For now, keep being the Church.
Congratulations to Mary Wischmeyer, 2020 graduate of Union
County High School.
Our worship services are being broadcast on our own channel
(under our name) on Youtube. You may find it on our website
( and click on the link.
God has blessed our church with the best
preschool in the area, CEC/Child Enrichment
Center. We have a few spots in the four year old
and two year old classes. Registration form and
contact person are available on the church website.
Please Help Us at the church by keeping
us informed of any sickness or procedures that
you or any of our members may be
experiencing. Thank you! You can contact our
Director of Pastoral Care, Rev. Mike Cloyd at
or call the church office @ 706-745-2073.
