Good morning church,
Join me for Bible study up on the hill this evening at 6 pm. We will be practicing physical distancing. Bring a chair or blanket (and bug spray as needed) as well as a Bible.
We will have in-person worship this Sunday, September 13, at 9:30 am and 11:15 am. We will also have an outdoor service that evening at 6 pm weather permitting. If outdoor worship is cancelled, an email will be sent by 1 pm on Sunday. If we do worship outside, feel free to bring a picnic dinner as well as chairs and blankets. Bring (and wear) a mask if you want to sing outside.
Some reminders as we seek to do no harm as we return to in-person worship:
Masks are required before, during, and after indoor worship.
If you have any symptoms, or may have been recently exposed, or have been recently tested without receiving results yet, please refrain from in-person worship and join us for online worship instead.
Peace.
Don
To FUMC, I cannot thank you everyone enough for all the prayers that was prayed for my healing. The prayer quilt has been a real blessing, thank you. The meals that the Robinettes and the Joy Sunday School class brought were very much appreciated.
I also want to thank everyone for their handwritten cards and phone calls. The Circle of Love are always the first to respond to someone. Thank you for taking the time to send out all the cards for everyone. I have enclosed a check to go on the balance for the MAC in honor of all the wonderful people at FUMC. Thanking God for you, Sonya Alexander Cristofaro
PRAYER QUILT MINISTRY
We prayerfully and urgently ask you to stop and take a few minutes to offer prayers for the name(s) listed below. Prayers are powerful no matter how offered! Knots on the quilts still will be tied by friends and family on the other end of the journey and will give the recipient further support and thankfulness.
This week’s requests:
Tim McClure - triple bypass surgery soon, also a diabetic. He is a friend of Aurore Miller.
Jeanine Jenkins – friend of Billile and Joe Roach. She has cervical cancer. Please keep the prayers coming.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
