Wednesday, December 9th
Our annual Holiday meal is ON! It will just look different - as all things do these days!
The Robinettes are working up a menu of ham, mac ‘n cheese, green beans and dessert. The meal will be available for pick up OR for outside dining under the MAC portico with patio heaters blasting away! Serving will begin at 5 pm and go until 6 pm. We ask that you sit with your “family group” at a table.
Christmas “Cantata” Sunday - December 13th
On this Sunday, we will have our COVID Christmas “Cantata”.There will be special music in place of the sermon in all services. Special musicians will be performing in the 11:15 service. Eric will lead Overflow in the Contemporary service. (There will be no 8:30 service on this Sunday) Come embrace the Christmas spirit through song.
With the opening up of the sanctuary for worship, you may order altar flowers as you once did. The book will be out on the MAC desk for convenience or you may call the church office. Flowers for the next Sunday need to be requested by Wednesday morning. Cost is $35.
One difference due to COVID. The arrangements will not be broken down and delivered to others. Flowers you order will be for you to take or remain here at the church.
Hope House will be at 7M Family Farm’s Festival of Lights on Saturday, December 12th from 2:30 - 8:30 pm selling Christmas baskets and goodies. 7M Family Farm is a local farmer’s market with fresh produce and cafe located off Crump Creek Road in the Choestoe area.

Our Advent Bible study continues on Wednesday nights at 6 We’re studying Adam Hamilton’s Incarnation: Rediscovering the Significance of Christmas. In this series, we will consider the titles of Jesus - including King, Emmanuel, Messiah, and Light. All are invited.
Our worship band, Overflow from the Well, is excited to announce their upcoming CD release - “Contagious”. The songs were recorded “live” in the MAC during rehearsals and preparation for the streaming services on YouTube, so the sound will be the same authentic “Overflow” you’ve grown to love in Sunday morning worship at The Well. The cd will feature 11 familiar cover songs and one new original:
Even If
All My Hope
I Am Not Alone
God of This City
Beneath The Waters (I Will Rise)
Come As You Are
Clean
Nobody Loves Me Like You
Multiplied
God You Reign
My Victory
Contagious
The price is $15 per CD. You may pre-order by emailing your name and number of CDs requested to overflowfumc@gmail.com.
The annual Christmas card table is out in the administration hallway. You may drop off cards and pick them up during the week (Monday- Thursday) to avoid the Sunday crowd if you wish. Please remember, cards are not mailed.
PRAYER QUILT MINISTRY
QUILTS ARE NOW BACK IN THE CHAPEL - PLEASE STOP BY AND SAY A PRAYER
We prayerfully and urgently ask you to stop and take a few minutes to offer prayers for the name(s) listed below. Prayers are powerful no matter how offered! Knots on the quilts still will be tied by friends and family on the other end of the journey and will give the recipient further support and thankfulness.
This week’s request:
Asher Arrant- burn victim and grandson of Teresa Price. His quilt is in the chapel where you may say a prayer and tie a knot.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
For any questions or information or requests, please call Margaret Frizzell 706-745-3197.
