Good Morning Faith Family!
It has been a difficult year for everyone with the uncertainty and so much of our normal life changing. It also has been a year to evaluate the value of the many things we took for granted in our lives. One of the things I pray that you share in is the value of the staff of our ministry here at First United Methodist Church. I don’t know that anyone has a full perspective of how difficult and how many changes were worked through to make ministry happen in spite of the limitations and directives given. It is the tradition of this faith family to show our heartfelt appreciation for our hardworking staff who did whatever was possible to make ministry happen in this difficult and challenging year. If you have it on your heart to show your appreciation for our staff, I would ask you to place your Staff Love Offering in the treasure chests outside the worship space door. Please mark the envelope or note on the check Staff Love Offering. You may also mail your gift to the church office. We will ensure the gifts of Love is shared with the staff in time for their family celebrations.
~ Thank you from the SPR team
Wednesday, December 9th
Our annual Holiday meal is ON! It will just look different - as all things do these days!
The Robinettes are working up a menu of ham, mac ‘n cheese, green beans and dessert. The meal will be available for pick up OR for outside dining under the MAC portico with patio heaters blasting away! Serving will begin at 5 pm and go until 6 pm. We ask that you sit with your “family group” at a table.
Christmas “Cantata”-COVID style THIS SUNDAY
Sunday, we will have our COVID-style Christmas “Cantata”.There will be special music in place of the sermon in both services. (There will not be an 8:30 service this week) Special musicians will be performing in the 11:15 service. Eric will lead Overflow in the Contemporary service. Come embrace the Christmas spirit through song.
With the opening up of the sanctuary for worship, you may order altar flowers as you once did. The book will be out on the MAC desk for convenience or you may call the church office. Flowers for the next Sunday need to be requested by Wednesday morning. Cost is $35.
One difference due to COVID. The arrangements will not be broken down and delivered to others. Flowers you order will be for you to take or remain here at the church.
Hope House will be at 7M Family Farm’s Festival of Lights on Saturday, December 12th from 2:30 - 8:30 pm selling Christmas baskets and goodies. 7M Family Farm is a local farmer’s market with fresh produce and cafe located off Crump Creek Road in the Choestoe area.
Christmas Eve and Holy Communion Services
We will stream our Christmas Eve Service on YouTube this year. We hope to have it online a few days before Christmas. We will share the link when it is available.

PRAYER QUILT MINISTRY
QUILTS ARE NOW BACK IN THE CHAPEL - PLEASE STOP BY AND SAY A PRAYER
We prayerfully and urgently ask you to stop and take a few minutes to offer prayers for the name(s) listed below. Prayers are powerful no matter how offered! Knots on the quilts still will be tied by friends and family on the other end of the journey and will give the recipient further support and thankfulness.
