“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” - Hebrews 13.8
A philosopher of old once wrote, “The only thing that is constant is change.” On this day of change in our nation, we’re probably all a little on edge for one reason or another. However, as followers of Jesus Christ, no matter what else is going on in the world, each of us looks to his words and example. The writer of Hebrews says, “…let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith…” Of course, that philosopher hadn’t read Hebrews. It is there the writer tells us it is Jesus who is always the same. As followers of Jesus Christ, let us look to him, always sowing and sharing the good news of the kingdom of God with all the grace and peace it affords, no matter what.
Grace and peace be with you all.

First UMC of Union County is a sponsor of the 2021 virtual Night to Shine. Our goal is the same as in previous years; to show our guests with special needs that they are loved. So what does that look like to us? 24 guests have register for the Virtual NTS on February 12. We will be offering these 24 guests gifts to represent our generous nature, affection and love. Each will receive their NTS bag with a 2021 NTS t-shirt, and a crown or tiara. In addition, each guest will receive a “Box of Sunshine” (Lots of yellow gifts), and a grocery bag filled with Pizza party supplies, and a donated Pizza from Sicily’s.
Here is how you can participate:
1) Donate funds to offset the expense. (We did not solicit small businesses this year)
