n his hand is the life of every living thing
and the breath of every human being.
–      Job 12.10
When I make pastoral visits, one of the things I often share or pray is that God holds each and every one of us in his hand. No matter what else has happened or is happening, and no matter what may happen, God is there holding us. I know at times it may not seem like it, but God is there. And God is holding you through whatever you are going through.
God’s not going to let go of you.
Creating God,
Give us the wisdom to know your living presence among us
and the grace to see it in each person we encounter today.
Help us to know for ourselves and to show others
your love, mercy, grace, and peace.
May all that we do or say today
be a reflection of you. Amen.

FirstYOUTH will host a Fall Kickoff event for students entering grades 6-12 on Wednesday, August 18, from 6 - 7 pm in the FUMC Youth Room. Parents and guardians are invited and encouraged to attend, but attendance is optional.

If you would prefer to donate directly to the event you can drop your donation off in the treasure chests and label it for “Backpacks”. Any questions on how you can help further call Tricia Wallace at 229-402-9361.
If anyone is willing to help with the church mowing program for the next 3 weeks, please call the church office. We are going to be short-handed during this time and the grass will continue to grow. Please help us keep our campus manicured.
Our Caring Meal Ministry thanks everyone who has so generously donated money. This ministry prepares hot meals for members who can’t get out. And now the ministry is expanding! We are now offering an errand service. If you need your medicines or groceries picked up, please give the church a call. We have someone who is willing to do this.
