Pictured from left to right: Zoey Southern, Lola Hunter, Ragan McCarter, Zayden Southern, Ashton Smith, Ava Smith, and Wesley Landen
I have been well blessed to spend time with these young people during confirmation this summer. They are an amazing group and each one is blessed with such gifts. I look forward to God’s continued work in each of their lives.
Join us for Confirmation Sunday at worship on August 22. Some will be confirmed at 9:30 am at The Well and some will be confirmed at 11 am in the Sanctuary. Join us for one or both, for we are on this journey together.
Grace and Peace.

FirstYOUTH will host a Fall Kickoff event for students entering grades 6-12 on Wednesday, August 18, from 6 - 7 pm in the FUMC Youth Room. Parents and guardians are invited and encouraged to attend, but attendance is optional.
Hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks will be provided. Families are asked to bring sides, snacks, or dessert: mac and cheese, salad, chips, watermelon, brownies, etc.
After sharing our meal, we will discuss our plans for the new year, including service opportunities, events, and our summer mission trip. Everyone will have the opportunity to fill out updated contact sheets and permission slips. All students will receive a FirstYOUTH Kickoff T-shirt. And yes, families, you WILL be asked to play a get-to-know-you game with us!
RSVP to Miss Jennifer at jcarydlm@gmail.com, on the FirstYOUTH of Union County Facebook page, or text her at 252-375-1119, so we can prepare.
