Good morning church!
Please join me in welcoming Allie McTureous as our new Nursery Director. If you don’t already know Allie, I hope you will. Allie has been active at First UMC for quite some time, volunteering in the nursery and at Night to Shine. If you attend the early service, there’s also a good chance she has welcomed you with a smile and her sweet spirit. Allie has such a heart for people and children. We’re blessed to have you here Allie!
Grace and Peace.
Don
This week’s Wednesday Night Programming:
Children and Adults will have Bible Study at 6 pm.
Youth will NOT meet tonight.
No supper this week
We will have Wednesday Night suppers on the weeks that people have volunteered to prepare a meal. Would you be willing to gather some friends and prepare 1 meal? It doesn’t have to be fancy. You could do a potato bar, breakfast, bring in fried chicken and just add sides. There is a multitude of choices that you could do to provide a meal. And there are ladies ready to consult with you and offer help. If you’re willing, please sign up on the poster by the MAC desk.
September spots still open are Sept. 15th and 29th.
TREASURE COLLECTING
The annex will be open on Fridays beginning this Friday from 9am till 11 am to receive your treasures for the Fall Festival sale.
New Bible Study Group for Young Moms: Wednesday Women
We will begin on Wednesday, Sept 8th at 9:15 am downstairs of the MAC in the Friendship SS Class. We will be using It is Well Bible Study from Dailygrace Co (link in comments) a three-week study stretched over six weeks.
Bulk order (cost $5) will be placed August 31st for books so let Emily know if you’d like one and if you plan to attend! Children are welcome just bring something for them to do while we meet!
Please stop by and say a prayer over these quilts.
Tying a knot lets the receivers know people care and have prayed for them.
