Good afternoon church,
Young Harris College Sunday at First UMC is October 3rd this year. Plan now to join us for worship online or in person on this special day.
The Concert Choir, under the direction of our very own Jeff Bauman, will be at the 8:45 and 11 am services. Dr. Drew Van Horn, President, will bring words of greeting from the college at all three services. The Reverend Ryan Snider, Chaplain and Dean of the Chapel, will preach at all three services. It’s going to be a great day!
And I hope this one is, too.
Grace and Peace.

Hello, everyone!
My name is Allie McTureous, and I am the nursery director.
I am so grateful and thankful for the opportunity to serve here at FUMC.
We offer nursery services on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and 11:00 for newborns to 3 years old. I am so blessed to have a great team of volunteers that are always there and give 110% of love and care to your children. If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer, please let me know. I would love to have you on my team.
If you have any questions or would like additional information, I can be reached at (386) 216-5582.
Thank you and God bless you!!!
Saying goodbye is never easy and it is with a heavy heart that I do so. I have decided that it is time for me to retire (again) from my work here at the church. It has been a pleasure to serve you as the Director of Pastoral Care. When I first started in this position I was able to visit you at home, in the hospital, or at the nursing home. However, during the time of COVID this past year, I have tried to maintain contact with you through phone calls and notes. It is my hope that the prayer at the end of each phone call was meaningful.
Plans for the future are still being made. I do know that some of the plans include sitting on the porch and drinking iced tea before the weather gets too cold!
May God continue to bless you.
