Good morning Church!
I hope this finds you well on these first cozy days of fall.
Church Council met last night, and members shared all the ways you are involved in kingdom work. I continue to be amazed at the variety of gifts we have in our church and the way you use them to God’s glory. Thank you for your faithfulness. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians, “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” In this, God is glorified. And did you notice the word “everyone?” Each of us has been given a gift to share for the common good of all and to God’s glory. If you are searching for your gift or looking for a place to share it, I would love to have that conversation with you.
The Council also met in preparation for our Charge Conference this coming Sunday, October 24, at 4 pm. The meeting will be held at Gainesville First UMC and you are welcome to attend in person. There will also be a link to the meeting if you would like to attend virtually. The link will be emailed on Saturday. To receive that link, register here:
