11/17/2021 FUMC Words for Wednesday
THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE FIRST UMC!
Dear Church Family,
Thank you for your response to our stewardship program this year. There definitely is no place like First UMC! Estimate of giving cards continues to come into the office. If you still have your estimate of giving card or need one and would like to share so that we may better plan our ministry and mission for 2022, you can return yours anytime before the end of the month to the church office or in one of the treasure chests outside our worship spaces.
Also, thank you also for sharing what you love about First UMC on the yellow bricks during stewardship season. We have much to be thankful for. I’ll be sharing the entire list with you next week.
Grace and Peace.

HELP NEEDED NOW
Friends,
Operation Turkey Tree had not been placed outside our worship spaces this year because we had not received any requests for meals….until now.
FirstYOUTH has received last-minute requests for Thanksgiving supplies, so your help is needed! Eight families and one gluten-free family will be blessed by your generosity!
Receptacles with Operation Turkey Tree signs will be placed at both worship entrances on Wednesday evening. Please donate any non-perishable Thanksgiving sides, or a $20 gift card towards a Turkey. There will be a lockbox in the youth office for gift cards beginning Wednesday. THANK YOU for your willingness to help!
Our Christmas “Angel Tree” will be up in the MAC lobby soon. Please take an Angel off the tree and purchase the gift on the Angel. You can leave the gift (unwrapped) back under the tree. Gifts will be donated to the Union Count Sheriff’s Department for distribution to needy children in Union County this Christmas. Please have gifts back by December 9th. This mission project is sponsored by our FUMC Wednesday Ladies Bible study!
Christmas will be fast approaching when we return from Thanksgiving break.
