Wednesday Night Programs

resume next week on August 17th.

We will start with a meal at 5:00 pm by the Robinettes.The meal will be chicken strips, summer salads, and a make-your-own banana split bar.

There will also be a raffle for a picnic basket.

Bible Studies for all ages will start at 6:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm.

From the Executive Leadership Team:

The committee to research disaffiliation has met two times and is making good progress. Each of the areas represented on the committee has begun their research. When our study is complete, we will prepare a report including a recommendation to share with the church council.

We cherish your prayers as we do this very important work for our church.

“Backpack 2 School Bash”

Thank You!

A special thank you to all of the individuals and FUMC organizations that gave toward and served during the “BP2S” event this past Saturday. Your generosity helped us give out over 500 backpacks full of supplies on Saturday and will allow the Union County Family Connection to continue giving out backpacks and supplies throughout the school year to those in need. PANTHER PANTRY

With school starting back, we are reminding you about our Panther Pantry. It is food that students can take home for the weekends. Ready made, premade foods are best like single-serve microwavable foods: pop tarts, protein bars. Also toiletries are good.There is a bin in the narthex for drop off the items.

The Fall Ministry Fair will take place in two months, on Sunday, September 11th! If you are a leader, or a member, of ANY ministry at First UMC, please be prepared to have a table set up in the Fellowship Hall on that Sunday with information on your ministry, information on how new disciples can SERVE with you, and how they can expect to CONNECT with others in your outreach. Planning Has Begun For Our

2022 Fall Festival!

Yes! We are back and, as always, help will be needed! This year’s Fall Festival dates are Friday, October 7th & Saturday, October 8th. Call Stan at the church office or email at

Crafters, we are counting on you to help us with your homemade items as well as everyone who puts away Jams and Jellies for the Country Store. We will also be back with our Bakery, Candy Shoppe, Silent Auction, Treasure Sale, and Clothing Sale. Mark your calendars! Remember… all proceeds from our Festival go toward retiring our MAC debt. Everybody has a part to play! Start working now!

Play Pickleball! The Blairsville Pickleball Club is playing in the MAC on Tuesdays from 8 am until noon and Thursdays from noon until 3pm. Everyone is welcome! Come join us!

“Tai Chi”: Led by Pat Tomzyck. Meets Tuesdays at 8:00am in room M-0 (First floor). Cost is $5.00 per class. Bring a mat!

“Christ-Centered” Yoga: led by Pat Tomzyck. Meets Tuesdays at 9:00am in room M-0 (First floor). Cost is $5.00 per class. Bring your own yoga mat.

*HIGH BEGINNER… 10:00am-10:45am Mastered the basic dance steps?
