2022 Fall Festival!
Planning Has Begun…
Yes! We are back and, as always, help will be needed! This year’s
Fall Festival dates are Friday, October 7th & Saturday, October 8th.
Volunteer Needs! / Get Involved!
We will need top dollar items for the SILENT AUCTION. There will be many bidders as this is a community event. Call Stan Wallace at the church (706-745-2073) if you have an item to donate.
Calling all BAKERS …. If you have a favorite cookie, cake, bread or pie recipe, please keep in mind the Fall Festival date of October 8th & 9th. The Bakery will need all kinds of baked goods to sell at the festival and we will need your help to make it a success. Baked goods can be brought to the Small dining room on Wednesday and Thursday the week of the Festival. For information or to volunteer to work in the Bakery call Virginia Collins @ 706-781-3833
The ANNEX will receive your “TREASURES” Fridays September 2, 16, & 30 from 9:00am - Noon. We have visitors from many areas who put our Fall Festival on their calendars and love to browse the bargains in the annex. Remember us when you are cleaning out! PLEASE… NO ELECTRONICS, NO EXERCISE EQUIPMENT, TELEVISIONS, OR BOOKS! To volunteer at the Treasure sale call Tammy at 813-334-6470.
The COUNTRY STORE is one of the favorite places for our shoppers. For those willing to provide items to sell, when you are canning your specialties, please keep our store in mind. We would love to have several jars, etc. of your “canned with love” items to sell in the store. Please put your names on the jellies and jams that you donate so we can know who to thank. We will be selling lap quilts, baby quilts, jars, jellies, old cookbooks, aprons and other items. Be preparing now to help. To donate early, you may bring donations to the church office anytime. For info or to volunteer for the Country Store call Barb at 706-487-9695.
CRAFTERS! Our craft sale is a major part of our festival and we will again need all our crafters to participate. Whatever crafting skill you have we need something from you for our sale. You do not have to fill a table with your crafts nor will you have to be present to man a table. If you are willing to make just a few of your crafts, we will collect and display them. We are not asking you to make 20 or 30 items; just as many as you would like to contribute to the sale. Start now! If you will donate craft items for our craft sale please call Tricia Wallace at 229-402-9361. More info on when we will start collecting items will be coming soon. Thank you!
CHRISTMAS IN OCTOBER!! Yes… Begin digging in your Christmas closet, attic, or storage room. We are looking for anything Christmas that is in good shape and working. Nativity sets, home decor, pillows, dishes, fabric/quilted items, trees, ornaments, wrapping paper, bows, tags, etc. ALSO, this will be an area we will begin setting up on the Monday before the sale. We will need a lot of help that week! Contact Tricia Wallace if you could serve as a helper for her that week!
Our CLOTHING SALE will again take place in the Fellowship Hall. Please only CLEAN, SLIGHTLY USED apparel. We also need clothes hangers and portable clothing racks if you have them to loan. We will be accepting your clothing donations (please have your clothes in bags) in the Fellowship Hall on Fridays, September 2nd, 16th, 30th from 9:00am - Noon. You may also bring bagged clothes to the MAC desk during regular church hours.
Mark your calendars! Remember… all proceeds from our Festival go toward
retiring our MAC debt. Everybody has a part to play! Start working now!
