03-01-2023 FUMC Words for Wednesday

Good morning Church,

I hope this finds you well.

A spiritual discipline during this season of Lent is often taking on a new practice. Last week at our Ash Wednesday service, a plan for reading the New Testament in 40 days was offered. Several in the congregation are taking on this challenge. If you are interested, you may find the plan at the end of this email. Although we are now a week into the season, it is never too late to start. Of course, you can also amend the plan in any way it benefits you spiritually.

May we all make a right beginning and observe a holy Lent: by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God’s holy word.

In Christ,

Don

We are ordering lilies to decorate the worship spaces for Easter Sunday. Easter lilies are single stem $15 and double stem $20. Peace lilies are $20. Order forms are in the church office or in the bulletin this Sunday. Please mark on your check for “Lily”. You may take the lily home with you after services on Easter or leave it to be taken to a homebound member.

Bible Study for all ages begins at 6 pm.
