04-05-2023 FUMC Words for Wednesday
Join us for worship and invite someone else this Easter Sunday as we celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection!

Our Sunrise Service will be led by the Youth at 7 am and will be on the hill at the outdoor stage. If it is raining, the youth will lead the service from the MAC portico. Bring your umbrella if you need it.

Then services follow the rest of the morning at 8:30 and 11 am in the sanctuary including brass and organ. We will celebrate the Resurrection with Overflow in the MAC at 9:30 am.

This Wednesday Night supper will be lasagna (both veggie and meat), salad and dessert. Meal begins at 5 pm.

There will be no Bible Study for adults and children due to spring break. Youth will meet to practice for the Sunrise Service.

We will have a Maundy Thursday service on the 6th at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. We will walk with Jesus as he has entered Jerusalem and has his last supper.

Good Friday, 7th the church doors will be open from 9 am to 6 pm to have personal worship in the sanctuary.

Kardia Sunday School class has changed class times. They now meet at 11 am downstairs of the MAC.

Balance Class sign-up sheet will be out on the narthex.

Our Youth Ministry is looking for some adult volunteers to help April with their activities. If you are willing please contact her at april.leigh27@gmail.com or 404 360 5966.

We will have a farewell dinner for

on Wednesday, May 3rd at 5:00 pm.

The church will provide the barbeque, the rest is up to you - Potluck sides and dessert.

The Brasstown Ringers, a 16-member community handbell ensemble, will be in concert here at FUMC on Sunday, May 7th at 6 pm in the sanctuary. All donations received that night will be given to Blairsville’s Healing Hands Community Clinic.

Long-time member and original CEC Board Chair Pennie Hebble passed away Sunday night. She was 96 years old. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her daughter and family.
