It’s been great seeing familiar faces as folks return to in-person worship. It has been a blessing as well to see the faces of new people who found us online during the pandemic or are finding us as things return to a semblance of normal. With that, I wanted to share this good word.
“My husband has three rules of engagement when we go to church.
1. An alone person in our gathering is an emergency.
2. Friends can wait
3. Introduce a newcomer to someone else
Let’s all be missionaries at church today!”
- Rebecca McLaughlin
See you Sunday!
As a church, we are ever so grateful to those who give their time and keep our campus looking so beautiful. Thank you, mowers! But it’s a BIG campus and we need more volunteers to help with this task. If you like a sitting-down job outside, you too can be a lawn mower-er 🙂 Just call the church office to volunteer.
Church Council will meet Thursday, April 29th at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall.
There are 3 prayer quilts in the Bray Chapel.
Please stop by to tie a knot and say a prayer.
Alysa Anderson (friend of Tammy Seiler) has breast cancer and is undergoing 12 weeks of chemo. Alysa is a young mother.
Karen Gerlach - volunteer at W.E.C. and a friend of Ingrid Engle. She has heart issues along with pacemaker issues.
Jane Prescott - Evie Miller’s aunt has had to have a leg amputated.
Dear Church, I would like to thank everyone for your prayers, encouragement, and well wishes. IT has been a long two years between doctor visits, surgeries, and recovery. God was with me through it all and you kept me lifted up when I was discouraged. Again, thank you, and may God bless you. ~ Kathy Heyer
Children and Adult Bible Studies will meet at 6 pm. There will be no youth for tonight.
May is our last month of preschool for our current school year. We have had many exciting and fun experiences in this crazy, unpredictable year.
The Preschool Staff and I have enjoyed working with some really exceptional parents and children in our community. It also has been a real privilege to work with such a supportive Preschool Board.
A huge “Thank You” to the Congregation as well, for their support with Box Tops and Ingles Tools for Schools. We were able to purchase needed supplies for the school from both of these organizations. The Preschool Staff and I have a passion for this work and all of your prayers and constant support fuels our passion.
Our graduation ceremonies will be on our last day of school, May 14th.
The 3’s classes will have their graduation that morning at 10 am and the 4’s celebration will be that evening at 7 pm.
Registration is still going on, but we have done very well this year filling the classes.
We currently have 17 students registered in the 4’s class and will be full at 20 students.
Both of our 3’s classes are full with 28 students and we have a waiting list for the 3’s already started.
Our 2’s classrooms are half-full now leaving about 9 spaces open.
The CEC is growing with the Congregation’s love and support. Thank you so much.
We look forward to being back in the classrooms in August.
           Peace and Joy,
                            The CEC Preschool Staff
The Morning Glory Circle will be selling homemade fudge and candy for $5.00 a package on Sunday, May 9 after each service. Our sweets would make a nice gift for Mother’s Day. Proceeds go to fund church-supported ministries.
